Hello,
Sport fans I know I usually talk about sports on this blog, however today is the forth of July and I think it is appropriate to talk about independence day. Any patriotic individual, who love their country should celebrate this day as it is the ineptitude of freedom and bravery.
With that said, that’s why I’ve decided to write a short blog post on the 4th of July and how to stream live fireworks on the internet via your smartphone, computer or tablet. The important thing to know is you won’t be left out if you can’t make it to your local fireworks show.
Across the country millions of counties and cities are spending thousands of dollars on fireworks. However there some of us that can’t make it to the show. Realizing how important the 4th of July is to alot of Americans, local new channels have started broadcasting the event live on their website.
I’ve included a list of sites where sport fans can go to stream live fireworks from across the country.
Local News Channel Websites
The thing about local news outlets is that they have a lot more flexibility than national networks like CNN. They are more entrenched in the community than big brands such as FOX News. Because of this unique set of circumstances, they will usually broadcast what the local public is more inclined to watch. The fourth of July is such a big deal to many Americans that many local news outlets like the one in Boston are streaming fireworks on their website live as it happens.
Even if you miss the fireworks completely because you were busy, you can easily watch an encore of the explosion on the internet for free. So don’t sweat it if you can’t make it to the show, simply log onto your computer and google “stream fireworks [your local area here]”.
Youtube
Youtube is an interesting video sharing website because you can be your very own paparazzi. If you’ve been to Youtube in the last couple years, you should know exactly what I mean. People are becoming household names because they video every second of their lives, and then post it on Youtube. Because so many Americans love filming themselves and then posting the content online, It’s likely that someone will film the entire show on their smartphone or mobile device, and then upload it on youtube.
The process to access video streams on youtube is very simple. Simply visit Youtube.com, and find the search bar. Once you locate the search bar, which is usually at the very top of the website, type “fireworks show [insert your local area here]. Youtube will then give you the search results for your town/city only.
They are usually sorted by popularity and freshness of the video, so scroll the entire screen before clicking on a video. The correct video will likely have your city/town in the title as well as in the description. Don’t be afraid to exit out if the quality of the video is poor. You can sometimes stream very good videos on youtube filmed with HD quality equipment.
Justin.tv
Justin.tv is kind of like youtube in many ways except users usually stream things live as it happens. So if you are looking for a live feed of fireworks, I’d visit justin.tv first before anything. Because the forth of July is such a big deal in the United states, I bet you there will be a lot of live streams everywhere. Again just like Youtube make sure you search for your local area and not a general search. If you search for let’s say “stream fireworks” the search results will return with every live stream with that title.
Therefore, make sure you localize your search similar to “fireworks Atlanta Georgia.” You will get a much better targeted results if you search that way. Another important thing to know is that not all feeds are the same. Some may be good in quality shot with a High Definition video camera, while others maybe poor quality. That’s why it is important to scroll down the screen for the best quality video. Usually the most popular videos has the best quality, rated by users.
There you go sport fans, I’ve given you 3 fantastic ways to stream live fireworks on the internet for free. Other notable sites that I should mention before I end this article is Ustream.tv. Ustream is similar to that of justin.tv so if you can’t find a live feed on justin.tv, head over to ustream.
Happy 4th of july everyone.
